What is Stack?
Stack Events is a platform built for student media programs. It helps you manage event signups, photo submissions, story drafts, research, and equipment checkouts—all in one place. Instead of juggling messy folders and spreadsheets, Stack gives your team one system that actually works.
Who is Stack for?
Stack is built for student-led media programs—yearbook, journalism, photojournalism, or any class that creates and manages media content. Whether you're running a high school yearbook staff or advising a journalism elective, Stack helps your team stay organized, collaborate better, and keep everything in one place.
Do I need to install anything to use Stack?
No installation required. Stack is entirely web-based—just open your browser, log in, and you're ready to go. It works on any modern device, including Chromebooks, desktops, iPads, and smartphones.
Can students use Stack without teacher supervision?
Yes. Once students are added to your instance, they have full access to the platform and its tools—submitting content, signing up for events, checking out equipment, and more. Teachers and advisers manage accounts, oversee activity, and handle organization, but students don’t need constant supervision to use Stack effectively. It’s built to run smoothly—even when you’re not in the room.

Better Collaboration

Create unlimited events
Stack allows for infinite events!
This allows advisors and editors to immediately create events for all of your needed coverage.
You can even create restricted events if you want to assign specific students to cover them.

Cover events your way
Stack allows students to submit any text and any image for an event.
So if a student is covering an event as a photojournalist - they can submit a photo essay. If they are an intro journalism student, they can submit interview transcripts and stories.
Anything that any student submits stacks neatly underneath the event you created.

Teamwork makes the dream work
Did you ever have an amazing photo from an event - and it never made it into your publication because you never knew it existed?
With Stack, everyone can see every submission, all the time.
It's a collaboration game changer!

That's why we have extensive documentation on how Stack works, many tutorial videos, and a quick turn around customer support system.

Rocklin has CTE media courses covering Yearbook, Journalism and PhotoJournalism - all underneath one advisor.
Utilizing Rocklin's daily feedback we squashed the bugs, so you can just work!

Stack's Beta Test was amazing
"Stack completely changed the way my school covered events, turned in photos - even how my classes turned in sketches for their DPS.
I can't recommend it enough."
